One Hundred and Four!

Last week, a few of the ladies that I work with who are in my stitching group met up with the leader of The Ships Project organization. This is the group that sends the knitted/crocheted/sewn caps to the soldiers overseas. They took all of the caps that we made (over 130 of them) to see which ones they would be able to use. There are restrictions on colors of yarn (ground troops need to wear dark colors and folks on the ships can wear bold colors, but not "girly" colors). We thought that we would be able to give them just over 80 caps. Turns out, they took 104 of our caps! I'm so proud!!

Next up, our group is focusing on chemo caps. Here are a few examples of some of the caps that I've already made!

Oh, on another note, migraines suck.

All. Day. Long. Migraine. Ick.

...I don't think that dorking out on the computer is helping the situation, but I'm bored now! I can't lay around much longer doing nothing, but my head hurts - ugh.

Haha - zero and nine!

It is always a happy day in our household when BOTH the Steelers AND the Bills win. Yesterday we went on a group trip through my work to Miami to watch the Bills play the Dolphins. This was my second anniversary gift to Chris...

Next year I'll have to try and come up with something that doesn't involve sports. I'm risking him thinking that I'm not creative! :)

Anyway, with yesterday's win, Buffalo is now above 500 at 5-4. Thankfully the Steelers still won despite me wearing a Bills t-shirt and hat - the first time I ever wore another team's colors/logo while the Steelers played! Steelers eeked out the win and are now 7-2... yay!

Unfortunately for the Dolphins, yesterday's lost to the Bills puts them at 0-9 (giggle)
